Description
Design by Joan Elliott
Fabric; 14 count white Aida
Finished size; approx 21cm x 26cm
Used Anchor metallic thread, copper colour and gold and orange beads
He was fun to stitch, although the metallic thread was sometimes a true horror to stitch with, it tended to get knotted up real easy! So not a pleasure to work with if you're used to kreinik thread (in my humble opinion of course).
Amazingly I stitched this gorgeous design relatively fast (maybe because he was so much fun to do). And I do like how many different symbolic things are actually in there that are all related to the Sun. A definite joy to stitch and his companion, Mother Moon will follow at some point surely!

Oh I love this. I have this chart too, and it's definitely on my to-do-list, along with the Mother Moon chart too. I think they'd make a wonderful pairing, framed next to each other on the wall <3
I have to ask, what is the difference between the Anchor metallic threads and the Kreinik threads? Which would you recommend for a beginner?
