And she is finished~
After pushing it back soon as I got to the tedious part; that being the moon
, I still managed to finish it rather quickly if I do say so myself. I bought this marvelous Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum pattern off Ebay taking only a week to get to me from overseas it was well worth the money; she is heavenly! As are all of Marilynn's designs by the way.
I've completely fallen in love with her works, inadvertently causing me to start roaming Ebay for the patterns I love most and now being the lucky owner of several more future cross stitch projects! Also with thanks to another deviant art stitcher for introducing me to these wonderful patterns.
Startdate: 29th of April, finished 17th of June
Fabric: 32 count Zweigart linen
Size approx 30cm x 36cm or 12 by 14 inches
The Kreinik metallic gold thread I used for her robes and around her halo get a triple hurrah from me. So fun to work with, so sparkly and so...sparkly!
Of course, credit also goes to the beads, who give it that much extra and totally had me gobsmacked when they were all in place.
As for the moon charm I found it on the dutch version of Ebay which I then painted gold with simple gold nail polish.
I will likely post up detail photo shots at some point seeing as the lighting of this one leaves out much of the golden sparkle. But for now I am enjoying the view of this now framed angel above my monitor.
'Nuff staring, on to the next project!
