A Little Love for my Sister by Ammeih A Little Love for my Sister by Ammeih
Just a little something something I wanted to make for my sister and my brother in law. Just because I thought it would look nice in their home. And because I love them of course!
It's from the British magazine Cross Stitcher (issue 278, may 2014). I changed the original colours around from shades of pink to my sisters favourite colour purple and added beads for the sparkle factor seeing as it had none!

Size approx 25cm x 36,5cm on 25 count white evenweave.

I'm thinking about doing this one myself someday (got this issue thanks to Carla <3) but maybe only the heart itself. Your color scheme and the beads are just lovely, I'm sure they'll be really happy about it!

They did love it ! Coincidentally they just had professional family photographs taken as well for on the walls; my piece will be in the middle with their pictures around it.

It's a great abstract design, not too wild on the colours but enough going on to bother looking at the details. I suggest you add beads to your future heart as well; it feels rather....naked, without some sparkle! Just what a little love should do to a heart. ;)

Thanks for your comment!

I got lots of projects going on right now, so I'll have enough time to think how I will actually tackle this before I find the time to do so. But beads are definatly on my mind ^_^

Beautifully done! I love the color scheme and the beads are a really nice touch ^_^
The cross stitch magazines I see in the store are outrageously priced, but I don't think any are made here in the US so they are from overseas :/

Thank you thank you! Hug

It's the same here, importing magazines raises the price by double just about, it's ridiculous. Most of them (if not 99,99%) come from England I think so I guess over there the cross stitching community is really large.

It's super!

that's really lovely! plus I envy you to have cross stitches magazines!! I don't think there is anything like this here in the Czech Republic :(

Actually, I have my mother bring them over for me from this really large bookstore; the book stores the city I live in don't sell english cross stitch magazines either (or any for that matter)! And I actually just subscribed to another British magazine for a year, just because that's much cheaper than buying them in the one store I have ever seen them in. -.-

Thank you for your comment!Hug

I have that issue! It's cool to see someone's finished version!

Haha, right? It's one thing to flick through a magazine and look at the pictures, another to actually see someone make it (and change it around to their own likings). It's the best itch to start crafting! :D (Big Grin)
